Research Group August 2014

Welcome to the Nanophotonics Laboratory at San Diego State University. The lab is directed by Prof. Lyuba Kuznetsova, Assistant Professor of Physics. We are located in Room 341 and 339 of the Physics building.

Our research focuses on the different ways of controlling light on the subwavelength scale via modifying the photonic enviornment. Projects include ultrafast nanocavity LEDs for visible light communications, emerging metamaterials for light control, and microcavity-based optical sensors for bio-medical applications.

Interested undergradute and graduate students should contact Prof. Kuznetsova to find out more about possible areas of research.
